Why I built this
I'm a software engineer who got fed up with estate agents' nonsense while trying to buy a home.
Properties were "competitively priced" when they were clearly £50k too high. The market was "very busy" while the same homes sat unsold for months. Prices were "holding strong" while Land Registry data showed them falling.
They had the data. They knew the truth. They just hoped I didn't look.
So I built PropertyTruth, to give everyone the same official data the agents use. No inflated valuations, no sales tactics. Just what homes sold for.

Where the data comes from
HM Land Registry records every residential sale in England and Wales. Sales usually appear two to three months after completion. Scotland and Northern Ireland aren't covered.
